The Edmonton Section runs both winter and summer camps every year, encompassing a variety of alpine activities including skiing, ice climbing, rock climbing, mountaineering, and hiking.

Campbell Icefields Ski Camp 2019

The Edmonton Section is holding our fourth Annual Ski Camp at the Campbell Icefields January 12-19, 2019.

This popular location just north of Golden, features a first class chalet that boasts electrical power, indoor flush toilets, sauna, showers, running water and semi-private rooms. The location handpicked by two well respected Mountain Guides is located on the western slopes of the Canadian Rockies, a place famous for it dry champagne powder skiing. The limitless terrain offers an abundance of treed skiing, open bowls on all aspects, peaks to ascend and glaciers to traverse. The area which is close to the continental divide offers something for all backcountry ski abilities. The Section was able to secure a coveted week at this piece of paradise for only $850.00 per person (self-catered, self-guided). FAIRY MEADOWS SKI CAMP - Jan 2019

The Edmonton Section is joining forces with the Okanagan Section and taking over the Bill Putnam Hut at Fairy Meadows from Jan 26 to Feb 2, 2019. Come and join us for this prime powder week!

This is a self-guided, self-catered, week-long backcountry skiing trip with a focus on big days and (fingers crossed) deep snow! Participants should be advanced skiers or boarders, have a high level of fitness for consecutive 1500m+ days, and be able to contribute to decision-making in complex and glaciated avalanche terrain.

The base fee is $1100 for the helicopter flight, hut fees, and miscellaneous hut supplies, and includes GST. Costs associated with food, beverages, and accommodations in Golden the prior evening are the not included.

Fine Print: Refunds will not be issued unless the spot can be filled with a qualified person. For this reason, it is recommended that all participants obtain trip cancellation insurance. Similarly, in the event an emergency injured parties are responsible for costs related to emergency transport. Trip Cancellation and Emergency Evacuation Insurance can be obtained through the ACC National website.
