While it is unfortunate when any candidate has to step back from an election, it does create the opening for those of you who were on the fence about volunteering to step up.
The position of Social Chair is once again calling for nominations – desperately, given our September 19 Meet-The-Candidates meeting.
If you are passionate about creating a community out of our club by engaging current members more and attracting new mountain-friendly individuals and families we need you on the Section Executive Team!
You can be confident you will be mentored by the outgoing chair and the executive team. It helps to know, too, that other volunteers step forward if/when you need help or a subcommittee for larger projects such as the annual BBQ.
