FAIRY MEADOWS SKI CAMP – Jan 2019

The Edmonton Section is joining forces with the Okanagan Section and taking over the Bill Putnam Hut at Fairy Meadows from Jan 26 to Feb 2, 2019. Come and join us for this prime powder week!

This is a self-guided, self-catered, week-long backcountry skiing trip with a focus on big days and (fingers crossed) deep snow! Participants should be advanced skiers or boarders, have a high level of fitness for consecutive 1500m+ days, and be able to contribute to decision-making in complex and glaciated avalanche terrain.

The base fee is $1100 for the helicopter flight, hut fees, and miscellaneous hut supplies, and includes GST. Costs associated with food, beverages, and accommodations in Golden the prior evening are the not included.

Fine Print: Refunds will not be issued unless the spot can be filled with a qualified person. For this reason, it is recommended that all participants obtain trip cancellation insurance. Similarly, in the event an emergency injured parties are responsible for costs related to emergency transport. Trip Cancellation and Emergency Evacuation Insurance can be obtained through the ACC National website.
